Brandwashed
I started reading Brandwashed by Martin Lindstrom a marketing expert who has worked with some of the worlds largest companies to help them build stronger brands. Particular emphasis is given to showing how brands influence and control our lives and how customers can be influenced through clever marketing. Exploring the psychology of consumerism, the first chapter opens with the idea that some brands begin their influence within the womb. Roger Dooley’s neuroscience marketing blog provides a good synopsis of some of the key points.
